Manuscripts Online aims to promote authors' work as
much as possible and to provide a support network for
authors. In addition to manuscript assessment, Manuscripts
Online gives assessed authorsat no extra chargea
presence on our website, in two main ways.
First, every author assessed by Manuscripts Online
can have their contact and other details (such as genre
and influences) posted on the website. This gives authors
an initial web presence and aims to foster contact between
authors, interested readers, and industry professionals.
Second, if the assessed manuscript is judged to be
of high quality, or otherwise catches our eye, an excerpt
from it may be posted (with the author's permission
and contact details) on the Manuscripts Online website
for general viewing. The purpose is threefold: to promote
the author's work, to promote the service, and to give
viewers a good read.
Our guiding principle with web posting is that of opening
doors for writers, getting people talking to each other,
and getting their work 'out there'. We hope to develop
more opportunities in this area soon.
